247 - TV Globo did not broadcast the images of Bolsonaro admitting to having the coronavirus on its most-watched news program, Jornal Nacional. The network also criticized the president's statements in which he downplays the disease – even while ill – and offers fanciful explanations for the increase in deaths in Brazil.

The report from the Uol portal It highlights that "William Bonner mentioned the fact as soon as he broke the news, at the beginning of the newscast: 'President Jair Bolsonaro confirmed today that he has contracted the new coronavirus. He made the announcement to state television and two other channels. None of the other media outlets were invited,'" he said.

The article also reports that "Renata Vasconcellos and Bonner also criticized several remarks made during the announcement. 'Bolsonaro presented no data to support his claim that the number of deaths has increased due to other causes and not the virus. He cited an increase in suicide cases and in patients who do not seek medical attention for fear of becoming infected,' said the presenter."
