247 - The British newspaper The Guardian highlighted in the headline of its website, this Thursday (2), the coup plot by Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and former federal deputy Daniel Silveira (PTB-RJ) announced by Senator Marcos do Val.

The pair – and other as-yet-unidentified allies – intended to use the senator to wiretap Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes in order to obtain a compromising statement that would lead to the Justice's arrest and pave the way for a coup d'état aimed at preventing President Lula (PT) from taking office.

The sub-headline adds that "the senator (Marcos do Val) says he was invited to induce the Judiciary to make compromising comments on the tape while Bolsonaro 'remained silent'."
