247 - Jair Bolsonaro (PL) broke the silence he had maintained since losing the second round of elections to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) on Tuesday (8) and posted photos on social media. On Twitter, he posted a photograph in which he appears with supporters, and on Instagram, an image in which he appears holding the Brazilian flag. On Telegram, he shared a note about the Acolhida Program, aimed at Venezuelan refugees.

"Fleeing the terror of socialism, where people are forced to eat their pets to survive and escape the violence that has taken over their nation, Brazil receives refugees from the Venezuelan dictatorship," the text says.

The last post made by the current occupant of the Palácio do Planalto (Presidential Palace) on social media was recorded on November 2nd. On that occasion, he asked his supporters to suspend the blockades and obstructions on federal highways. The pro-Bolsonaro protests began shortly after the election results confirmed Lula's victory.
