247 - Journalist Hélio Doyle, from Brasília, spoke to TV 247 about the interest of Jair Bolsonaro and his supporters in what he called a "war in the streets." The journalist also stated that Bolsonaro's plan is to stage a self-coup.

According to Doyle, if the population he called "responsible" does not mobilize, Bolsonaro supporters will take to the streets and wage war. "Their most organic militants are very active, deeply organized, and they have a violent spirit; we are seeing this in a succession of escalating events. There were attacks on journalists, attacks on nurses who were silently demonstrating in the Praça dos Três Poderes (Three Powers Square). If this situation continues, where responsible people don't take to the streets and irresponsible Bolsonaro supporters occupy them, even if only to a limited extent, this is the trend, and they are preparing for war, a war in the streets. Bolsonaro wants chaos, he wants social chaos."

Regarding the possible self-coup, Doyle said that Bolsonaro is not content with the limited powers of the President of the Republic and that, therefore, he will seek totalitarianism. “Bolsonaro wants to stage a self-coup, he wants to stage a coup, it’s his plan. He is not satisfied, as president, with powers limited by Congress, the Judiciary, the press, and civil society. He wants absolute power; it’s in his nature, it’s his way. He is deeply irritated by not having total power. His process is becoming increasingly radicalized.”
