Hackers invade O Globo newspaper in the name of democratic media.

247 - The hacker group Anonymous claimed responsibility this afternoon for hacking into the newspaper's account. O Globo on Twitter, through which he published messages calling for "real democracy now." "We want the democratization of the media that participated in the 64 coup and supported the dictatorship," said the last message, before the profile was taken over again by the outlet.

The activists attacked what they called the "disgusting manipulation of this 'mainstream' media" and stated that they will not stop fighting for our country, "whether you like it or not," in a message to Globo Organizations. The hacker group also called the company's journalism "the most disgusting, corrupt, and despicable in the world" and criticized the "disgusting manipulation of this 'mainstream' media."

In June, amidst the popular demonstrations that swept through several cities in Brazil, the same group hacked into Veja magazine's profileFrom Abril publishing house, in yet another critique of manipulation by the mainstream press.
