Hackers invade Eduardo Moreira's YouTube channel.

The scholar is critical of the Jair Bolsonaro government and stated that he could not help but link the pro-Bolsonaro digital militias to the hacking that took down his YouTube channel.

247 - Hackers invaded economist Eduardo Moreira's YouTube channel on Monday afternoon (21). The approximately 3 videos on the platform were deleted. The channel has almost one million followers. The scholar is critical of the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government and stated that he could not help but relate the Bolsonaro digital militias to the invasion that took down his YouTube channel. 

"It can't be a coincidence that the attacks increased precisely during moments of heightened political tension," Moreira told [the newspaper]. column by Chico Alves, on the Uol portal.

Moreira stated that he has received attempted attacks on social media since the economist appeared on the list of detractors produced in December 2020 by the Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes.

"After the elections, they made further attempts to invade the system, and today they succeeded," said Moreira. "From all indications, these are people bothered by the content I produce, which is quite critical of Bolsonaro's policies," he added.
