Globo urges Bolsonaro to discipline his sons and learn from the military how to be president.

247 - Just as in the years leading up to the 1964 military coup, the Marinho family is beginning to advocate for a new military intervention in the country. In an editorial published in the newspaper O Globo this Tuesday (19), they practically call for a military junta to oversee Bolsonaro, should he jeopardize the project of the country's elites: "The expectation is that Jair Bolsonaro, based on the disastrous experience of allowing his sons to invade his power space, will learn, also with the help of the military core of the government, to assume and manage his position as President of the Republic."

Throughout the text, the Bolsonaro clan is harshly criticized for spreading "insecurity in the upper echelons of the administration" and jeopardizing "the reliability of political agreements made by the government." In other words, the Marinho family is worried about the fate of the ultraliberal and denationalizing reforms they have been advocating for decades.   

The criticism is almost devastating to the clan. The first two paragraphs of the editorial are eloquent:

"The dismissal of the Minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, Gustavo Bebianno, under pressure from Carlos, or "02," son of President Jair Bolsonaro, poisons the beginning of his father's government with uncertainty. Worse, it spreads insecurity in the upper echelons of the administration, jeopardizing the reliability of political agreements made by the government. For example, regarding the pension reform."

The precedent has been set that Florentine intrigues sown within the presidential family can determine the fate of authorities. It is catastrophic for any administration, public or private, when external factors, even more so those due to consanguinity, interfere with its work. Few examples are as anti-republican as the actions of '02' in this case. Which was not even surprising, given the displays of aggression and outbursts, not only from him, exhibited on social media during the campaign."

The entire logic of the text leads to an almost uprising for military intervention in the last paragraph, when it asks that Bolsonaro, "with the help of the military core of the government," be able to "assume and manage his position as President of the Republic." The Marinho family doesn't write it explicitly, but the idea is clear: that Captain Bolsonaro should become a faithful follower of the generals' orders.
