Globo forgets what it wrote and endorses Moraes's appointment to the Supreme Court.

Forget what I wrote: this is the rule of Globo, a key player in the 2016 coup, regarding Alexandre de Moraes, nominated by Michel Temer to the Supreme Federal Court; the Marinho family group, which a month ago pointed to him as "the wrong man" to be Minister of Justice, now sees him as the "constitutionalist" perfectly suited for the position; on the front page of Globo this Tuesday, the Marinho family gives its approval to Moraes, who arrives at the STF with the mission of halting Lava Jato in what concerns the PMDB-PSDB consortium, freeing politicians like Aécio Neves, Geraldo Alckmin, José Serra and Michel Temer himself, all denounced by Odebrecht; the supreme Merval Pereira, the highest instance of the Judiciary in Brazil, says that the choice was technical, not political.

247 - Forget what I wrote: this is the rule of Globo, a key player in the 2016 coup, regarding Alexandre de Moraes, nominated by Michel Temer to the Supreme Federal Court.

The Marinho family group, which a month ago labeled him "the wrong man" to be Minister of Justice on the cover of Época magazine, now sees him as the "constitutionalist" perfectly suited for the position.

On the front page of Globo this Tuesday, the Marinho family endorses Moraes, who arrives at the Supreme Court with the mission of halting Lava Jato as far as the PMDB-PSDB alliance is concerned, freeing politicians like Aécio Neves, Geraldo Alckmin, and José Serra (Mineirinho, Santo, and Careca), and Michel Temer himself, all implicated by Odebrecht. The task is to construct the argument that the official campaign contributions to the PT are bribes, and that the second campaign contributions to the PSDB and PMDB are merely an accident along the way.

Also in Globo, the supreme Merval Pereira, the highest court in Brazil, says that the choice was technical, not political.

The only criticism, that of Miriam Leitão (read here), fulfills its role: that of demonstrating supposed impartiality.

Read here The Época magazine report, in which the Marinho family criticizes Moraes for the deaths of over 100 prisoners, most of whom were decapitated, and for his "blunders."
