247 - Brazilian television network Rede Globo has decided to cancel the series about the murder of Eliza Samúdio. Author Glória Perez was among those who celebrated the decision. "We can't give a platform to goalkeeper Bruno," she declared in an interview with the columnist. Maurício Stycer, from UOL.
The decision to cancel the production is a result of the negative reaction generated after Globo announced the project, which would have starred Vanessa Giácomo as Eliza Samúdio and been directed by Amora Mautner.
“I applaud the decision. Bruno is a cruel and narcissistic criminal, willing to do anything to regain his idol status. Giving him a platform is helping him achieve that, it's allowing him to be invited to various TV programs to sell himself as a goalkeeper, play the victim, and give his opinion on the team's selection,” added Glória Perez, mother of Daniella Perez, who was murdered in 1992 by Guilherme de Pádua.
