247 - Band fired former player Carlos Alberto on Thursday afternoon (9), who worked as a commentator on the Carioca Championship broadcasts. His departure had been under consideration since the end of January due to provocations made on social media against Flamengo fans. The last straw was an accusation of assaulting a fan of the club, which occurred on Wednesday (10).

Band confirmed the dismissal in a statement. "Carlos Alberto is no longer part of Band's commentary team. We thank him for his time at the station and wish him good luck," the statement said.

report from the TV News portal It was found that Band executives had been keeping an eye on his behavior for two weeks and were bothered by the number of provocations he was making towards Flamengo players. The issue began in December, when Giorgian De Arrascaeta nutmegged Carlos Alberto during the All-Star Game, organized by former player Zico.

Since then, he has been mocked by Flamengo fans and has started to retaliate. After Flamengo's defeat in the Club World Cup, Carlos Alberto directly provoked and insulted Arrascaeta and Gabriel Barbosa in a video.
