Regina Duarte's controversial interview causes internal tension at CNN.

According to journalist Mauricio Stycer, including Maitê Proença's video without prior notice to Regina could be seen as a "trap," a "trick," and "this could make other potential interviewees wary of the channel, which is bad for business."

247 - A controversial interview The statement by actress and Secretary of Culture of the federal government, Regina Duarte, caused internal tension at CNN. During the live conversation this Thursday, the 7th, Regina reacted angrily. When the interviewer and the anchors presented a video of Maitê Proença for her to answer the actress's questions, first saying that the video was old and then ending the conversation at that moment.

Em In his column on UOL, journalist Mauricio StycerThe news outlet CNN, which covers television, summarizes the confusion surrounding the episode: “A few minutes after the interview was interrupted, the channel released a statement reporting what happened and stating that Maitê's testimony was 'requested by the station earlier this afternoon to discuss issues in the cultural sector in Brazil.' It added: 'CNN regrets the incident and reaffirms its commitment to always listen to all sides to better inform the country.' According to the channel, Maitê's video arrived at the newsroom 'at the last minute.' This would explain the surprise it caused. While this is an acceptable journalistic procedure, including Maitê's testimony without prior notice to Regina could be seen as a 'trap,' a 'trick.' And this could make other potential interviewees wary of the channel, which is bad for business.”
