Immediate: 'Even in prison, Dirceu has been vilified for expressing his opinion'

Journalist and editor of Geração Editorial, Luiz Fernando Emediato, made a statement defending former minister José Dirceu: "An excellent figure, better than all those scoundrels who are there. He stole nothing, was convicted without evidence, and everything he had was earned through honest work when he left the government," he says; "If we are to condemn him, we would also have to condemn André Lara Resende, Pedro Malan, Edmar Bacha, the Mendonça de Barros brothers, Persio Arida, Delfim Netto, Mailson da Nóbrega, etc. They got rich through their connections and consulting work. But they are not from the PT (Workers' Party)."

By Luiz Fernando Emediato, in your Facebook - José Dirceu, imprisoned without guilt, has been vilified every time he expresses an opinion – even from prison – through letters or his lawyer.

It has become conventional wisdom that he used his power and relationships to make money as a consultant.

Well, I continue to admire José Dirceu, an excellent figure, better than all those scoundrels who are there. He didn't steal anything, he was convicted without evidence, and everything he had was earned through honest work when he left the government.

If we were to condemn him, we would also have to condemn André Lara Resende, Pedro Malan, Edmar Bacha, the Mendonça de Barros brothers, Persio Arida, Delfim Netto, Mailson da Nóbrega, etc.

They got rich through their connections and consulting work. But they are not members of the Workers' Party (PT).
