In an editorial, The Guardian says Bolsonaro is a danger to Brazilians.

By contradicting guidelines from the World Health Organization, decisions made by state governors, and even his own Minister of Health, Jair Bolsonaro is destroying the country's attempts to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

247 - "Much of Brazil is locked down. Governors are imposing strict quarantines. The Minister of Health is urging people to stay home, warning that unless transmission is reduced, the health system will collapse by the end of April. Even drug gangs are closing off favelas to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Meanwhile, a citizen disregards the restrictions and goes for a stroll in the local market. Facebook and Twitter are removing his posts for promoting unproven remedies and attacking social distancing. A man normally can't do much harm. Unfortunately, this one can; he's the president," writes the prestigious British newspaper The Guardian.

"Jair Bolsonaro's rise has always been frightening, and his record since taking power last year—with attacks on human rights, minorities, the arts, and the destruction of the Amazon—has been shameful. His response to the coronavirus has reached new depths. He will have to answer for his mistakes and complacency when the pandemic is over."

[...] "Meeting and greeting his fellow citizens in Brasília last weekend was doubly irresponsible, given his close contact with known cases of coronavirus: the danger is not only the messages he sent, but the physical risk he may pose to others," he emphasizes. The Guardian.
