Eliane laments 16 years of PSDB being out of power.

Columnist Eliane Cantanhêde sees presidential candidate Aécio Neves in the “worst of all worlds”; she either miscalculates or already considers the election lost for the PSDB: “Aécio washed his hands of the São Paulo PSDB in 2002, 2006, and 2010. When he took office, he believed he would be virtually elected. And it will already be 16 years out of power.”

247 – Columnist Eliane Cantanhêde sees the PSDB presidential candidate Aécio Neves in "the worst of all possible worlds" with Marina Silva entering the presidential race. She already laments 16 years out of power. Either she miscalculated, or she already considers the election lost for the PSDB.

"Aécio washed his hands of the São Paulo PSDB party in 2002, 2006, and 2010. He believed that when he took office, he would be virtually elected. And it will already be 16 years out of power," he said.

Beyond the Marina wave, she highlights the electoral landscape in Minas Gerais, which is the heart of Aécio's campaign and discourse: "The PT faces difficulties everywhere, but Aécio's PT candidate for governor of the state, Fernando Pimentel, has a very comfortable position compared to the PSDB candidate Pimenta da Veiga" (read closest).
