Eliane Cantanhêde and the suffering of the 'fragrant' ones

With Lula involved in politics, no sleeping pill will make the columnists of the "mainstream press" fall asleep. And the Caravans of Citizenship, which are expected to return, are more frightening than Freddy Krueger's gloves.

After Merval Pereira of O Globo on his blog on January 17th, now (January 18th) it's Eliane Cantanhêde's turn, from "massa cheirosa" and Folha de São Paulo, to try to convince someone that Lula is a problem for Dilma.

She condemned Lula's visit to Fernando Haddad and called him a puppet. As if the bottom of the barrel couldn't drop any lower, she brought up the old refrain about the tiny GDP growth and energy rationing.

Life must be sad for the right wing in Brazil. At least for the most "posh" ones. They have to make do with FHC, Serra, Aécio, the budget dwarf Sérgio Guerra, the sycophantic ex-communist Roberto Freire, and, for a break from the routine, Marina Silva.

With Lula involved in politics, no sleeping pill will make the columnists of the "mainstream press" fall asleep. And the Caravans of Citizenship, which are expected to return, are more frightening than the gloves with blades scratching the walls of Freddy Krueger from the "A Nightmare on Elm Street" horror movie series. All this to the sound of "1, 2... Freddy's coming for you. 3, 4... Better lock the door."

Or would it be "1, 2... Lula is coming here to speak. 3, 4... Directly addressing the people"?

Every day after waking up, these doomsday columnists must look at a picture of FHC or Serra or Aécio or all three together and think "what a load of rubbish you are".

If it were up to these figures, Lula would lock himself in his house and not even answer the phone. There isn't a single step, gesture, or word of his that isn't censored. These are the wretched people who profane the word "democracy" by defending their media monopolies.

As if one misfortune wasn't enough, the well-to-do can't even go to Paris or New York anymore to clear their heads and do some shopping without having to share that moment with the common people. As Danuza Leão said, traveling abroad has lost its appeal. Now everyone can do it, even the doorman of your building.

Those who smell good suffer.
