247 - The governor of São Paulo, João Doria (PSDB), sought to promote himself through immunization against Covid-19. Trying to ride the wave of Big Brother Brasil (BBB), a TV Globo program that began announcing its participants this Friday, the 14th, the governor published a card imitating BBB, claiming to be the "father of the vaccine" in Brazil.

The self-promotional card was shared on PSDB's social media accounts and was mocked on social media, in addition to being denounced for its policy against public health — a sector that was fundamental in containing Covid in Brazil.

On social media this Friday, Health Minister Marcelo Queiroga said that the governor is using the vaccination campaign for political gain. The governor, a member of the PSDB party, initiated the immunization of children aged 5 to 11 in the country with the indigenous child Davi Seremrámiwe, 8 years old, from the Xavante ethnic group. Seven other children from the priority group were also immunized.
