Demétrio Magnoli, a columnist for Folha de S.Paulo, plagiarizes the US Secretary of State — and doesn't give credit.

In an article published this Friday, Magnoli appropriates a phrase Anthony Blinken said in February of this year during an event at the UN.

247 - Folha de S. Paulo columnist Demétrio Magnoli plagiarized US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in an article published in the newspaper this Friday (15).

The article "Zelenski's 'everything'" It deals with the war in Ukraine and aims to criticize the peace plan proposed by President Lula (PT) to end the conflict. The seventh paragraph contains the phrase: "if Russia stops fighting, the war ends; if Ukraine stops fighting, Ukraine ends."

The same phrase, however, had already been uttered by Blinken on February 24 of this year, at the United Nations Security Council Ministerial Meeting on Ukraine: “If Russia stops fighting and leaves Ukraine, the war ends. If Ukraine stops fighting, Ukraine ends.”

In the article, Magnoli does not give Blinken any credit. The United States Secretary of State is not even mentioned.
