The creator of Dilma Bolada disputes Escosteguy's accusation, in Época magazine.
Jeferson Monteiro, who created the character Dilma Bolada, used Facebook to contest a report in Época magazine, in which he is accused by journalist Diego Escosteguy of receiving R$ 500 from the Workers' Party campaign; "ÉPOCA published an extremely sensationalist article that now implies a million things," he states; "One of the 'journalists' who wrote the article, this Diego Escosteguy, before the publication came out, made about 10 mocking tweets with my name and involving Dilma Bolada. So it's quite clear that the motivation is personal, right?"
247 - Advertising executive Jeferson Monteiro, creator of the Dilma Bolada character, used his Facebook page to contest a report by Época magazine (read more). here), published this weekend. Read below:
Let's go:
01. I have no business ties with anyone so far;
02. All I ever heard was speculation about me working on the campaign;
03. I don't count my chickens before they hatch; those who know me know I never put the cart before the horse.
04. ÉPOCA published an extremely sensationalist article that now implies a million things;
05. ÉPOCA contacted me to inquire about an email I sent on July 22nd (the article is incorrect) stating that there was no point in "[Dilma Bolada] continuing attempts to reach common ground with such different strategies," and as I said here on my Facebook that day, the 23rd, it's very clear and anyone can see it: the campaign has a language and approach totally different from what I think it should be. The Muda Mais strategy, for example, is one thing, I don't like it, period. I think they only speak to those who are already going to vote for Dilma, and therefore it's pointless (excuse me for stating this here, but given the circumstances...). And I also said very frankly that "despite being on the same side, I see that, many times, we have divergent thoughts." Right?
06. ÉPOCA claims to have documents proving that I receive half a million, but so far they haven't presented anything;
07. A month ago, I was officially a "Consultant for the PT (Workers' Party)," ÉPOCA magazine itself published this, now it contradicts itself and says I am a "future Consultant for the PT." Never before in the history of this country has anyone been promoted in reverse;
08. One of the "journalists" who wrote the article, this Diego Escosteguy, before it was published, made about 10 mocking tweets using my name and involving Dilma Bolada. So it's pretty clear the motivation is personal, right? Incidentally, curiously, this same journalist wrote an article for VEJA some time ago about the Lula government where he said there was a "brown paper envelope with 200 reais in cash". Can someone tell me which stationery store sells a brown paper envelope that size so I can buy about 10?
09. ÉPOCA magazine illustrates the article with a tweet from Dilma Bolada that it classified as aggressive. And the tweet is as follows: "Leaving the debate, Silvio Santos gave Aécio a Tele Sena (a lottery ticket) and told him not to be sad because whoever gets fewer points also wins." Wow, very offensive! I think if it were Marina, she would even cry.
10. ÉPOCA magazine ironically published a photo of me with Dilma with a caption that implies I like her because of money. My dears, you are low, you can try everything but my relationship with Dilma will not change at all because of a handful of ~big journalists~.
And finally, I've always made it very clear that if I were invited to work on a presidential campaign, I would work. In fact, I would be very happy. If it were Dilma's campaign, even better. And there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with that (the "journalist" himself had the nerve to admit this on Twitter). The article took on the tone of a DENUNCIATION of a COMMERCIAL RELATIONSHIP that doesn't even exist, and after this, I don't even know if it will exist anymore. And it's that old story: if they're saying I'm worth 500, it's because my work is worth 1 million. I reserve the right to deal with my personal life however I want, to make contracts with whomever I want (I've also said this here on my Facebook). If something involves Dilma Bolada, I think it's important to talk to all of you. If something involves only me, I think it's important to talk to all the people I like, only. Anyway, I hope to be effectively involved in the campaign. That is, IF there is a second round, of course.
