A columnist for Época magazine suggests that the New York Times receives money from the Workers' Party (PT).
Columnist Guilherme Fiúza of Época magazine insinuated that the New York Times receives funding from the Workers' Party (PT) to defend President Dilma Rousseff; "Could it be that the American newspaper is also on the payroll of our comrades? Does the NYT also need the monthly allowance that our billionaire progressive heroes pay to the brave and incorruptible mercenary journalists of this country?", he said; "The traditional European and American media seem to have bought into the version of the coup d'état in Brazil. Most of them have been 'denouncing' the fact, or flirting with the worthless thesis – spread by the parasites who sucked Brazil dry for 13 years without pity or mercy, and are now supported by MPB (Brazilian Popular Music), pathetic intellectuals and lunatic (or well-paid) artists," he added.
Forum Magazine - Annoyed by the international media coverage of the coup in Brazil, columnist Guilherme Fiúza of Época magazine decided to insinuate that the New York Times receives funding from the Workers' Party (PT) to defend President Dilma Rousseff. "Could it be that the American newspaper is also on the payroll of our comrades? Is the NYT also in need of the monthly allowance that our billionaire progressive heroes pay to the brave and incorruptible hired journalists of this country?" he suggested.
Fiúza supported interim president Michel Temer and called Brazilian journalists who denounce the maneuvers of the PMDB member "delinquents" and who, according to him, serve as a source for the foreign press. "Dear Michel Temer, faced with this overwhelming show of intellectual dishonesty, parasitic charm and scoundrelly bravery, you only have one way out: to govern. That is your mission on Earth. Fulfill it to the end, whatever the cost," he wrote in his Friday column (10).
"The traditional European and American media ('traditional' is not a pejorative term, dear modern types, it can be great) seem to have bought into the version of the coup d'état in Brazil. Most of it has been 'denouncing' the fact, or flirting with the bogus thesis – spread by the parasites who sucked Brazil dry for 13 years without mercy, and are now supported by MPB [Brazilian Popular Music], pathetic intellectuals and lunatic (or well-paid) artists," he stated.
