Forum Magazine - During his participation in CNN Brasil's Grande Debate program last Monday (13), Caio Coppolla asked debater Marcelo Feller if the victims of the new coronavirus were interviewed if they died because of President Jair Bolsonaro.

“Just because of the president? Did they interview the dead, Marcelo? Did they ask… did they channel information? Did they ask the dead, ‘Did you go out into the street because of the president of the Republic?’”, said the law graduate. “That’s difficult, isn’t it?”, replied Feller.

Feller, who took over after Augusto Botelho's departure, argued that President Jair Bolsonaro's stance encouraged people not to strictly follow social isolation. "The president's actions influence people. People go out more, people don't wear masks, people feel legitimized," he stated.

Coppolla also said that "there is no causal link between the president's conduct and the deaths."
