Bolsonaro says "we've never been better off" and is mocked by internet users.

Users cited the problem of hunger in Brazil.

247 - Jair Bolsonaro (PL) stated this Friday (28) that "we have never been so well off" and was mocked by internet users after his speech in the Globo debate with presidential candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).

"Hearing a president say that we've never been better off in a country where 33 million people are starving is so insane I'm speechless," one person said on Twitter.

"It's even embarrassing," another internet user stated. 

Another user posted: "The Brazilian at home with an empty cupboard watching Bolsonaro say that the economy is great."

Someone wrote: "For God's sake, how can such a rotten person not suffer any consequences?"

Brazil has 33 million people are starving., according to the National Survey on Food Insecurity in the Context of the Covid-19 Pandemic in Brazil, conducted by the Brazilian Research Network on Food and Nutritional Sovereignty and Security (Rede Penssan) between the end of 2021 and April 2022. 

Debate

Former President Lula promised appreciation of the minimum wage above inflation. He also mentioned the cases of embezzlement and properties worth R$ 26 million Purchased by the Bolsonaro family.

The Datafolha survey, released this Thursday (27), showed the former president in first place against Bolsonaro.
