Azenha: "Brazilian media doesn't call things by their name because of incompetence"

247 - Journalist Luiz Carlos Azenha condemned the role of the mainstream media, pointing to its "incompetence and lack of critical capacity" in its coverage of recent political events in the country.

“We said coup. They said no. We said fascism, they said exaggeration. We said terrorism, they shrugged. The Brazilian media doesn't call things by their name due to incompetence and lack of critical capacity. It is VERY BAD by the basic standards of journalism,” said the journalist.
