247 - Folha de S. Paulo, which advocates for the privatization of Petrobras and the neoliberal shock of the 'bridge to the future,' which weakened workers and brought hunger back to Brazil, adopted an authoritarian stance this Sunday and wrote, in front-page editorialThat former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva is now obligated to say what he will do about the economy.

Lula, as everyone knows, governed Brazil for eight years and achieved the best economic results in Brazilian history: average growth of 4,5%, creation of 10 million jobs, lifting 40 million people out of poverty, accumulation of US$ 300 billion in international reserves, repayment of the external debt, control of inflation, and balanced public accounts, which led Brazil to become the sixth largest economy in the world – today, after the 'bridge to the future' supported by Folha, it is the thirteenth.

"Still leading a presidential race that has become more heated and complex, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) insists on the arrogance of basing his electoral candidacy solely on the vast popular rejection of his opponent and incumbent, Jair Bolsonaro (PL)," writes Folha. "It is an affront, therefore, that Lula maintains opacity regarding his plans and names for managing the economy," adds the newspaper. "It is high time to recognize that the liberal agenda of recent years has brought lasting progress," the editorialist also writes, without any basis in factual reality.
