"I would love to bury this story and pretend it never happened, but it doesn't align with what I myself preach," she stated.
247 - Jade Mascarenhas, who is in the cast of the second season of “As Five”, on Globo network, made a statement on her Instagram account in which she recounts moments of panic after suffering verbal and sexual harassment during a bus trip, last Friday (10).
"A man, old enough to be my father and perhaps even my grandfather, verbally and sexually harassed me on a trip that had already lasted 12 hours and we were all exhausted," the actress wrote.
"It is with great embarrassment and anger that I give this account, and I hope it will be useful and that I, like many other victims, will have access to justice. I know that my case of being taken in so quickly is rare."
"I would love to bury this story and pretend it never happened, but it doesn't align with what I myself preach," stated Jade, who then described what happened.
"I was supported by the passengers, the police, and the company, but I keep wondering what I could have done to prevent it, feeling powerless. A special thank you to the 4 passengers who decided to go to the police station to testify for me, and for that, they gave up their commitments to seek justice with me."
