Metropolis - Natalia Deodato's team has spoken out about the controversial statement made by the contestant regarding slavery on Monday (January 17th), in a conversation with the other housemates. On that occasion, she said that black people were enslaved because they were "efficient." "We were strong, we were good at what we did. That's why, because maybe if you put someone there to do that, maybe they wouldn't be able to," she said, generating outrage among internet users.

Following the backlash, Natália's admins apologized and stated that she "will reflect on her time in the house and learn from her mistakes."

"Her statement represents her point of view, that is, that of a woman who feels firsthand what it's like to live in a society with prejudices, but who still doesn't have enough knowledge to speak about her own situation. We understand the impact of what was said, and today the apology comes from the Admins. We are certain that when she leaves, she will reflect on her journey within the house and learn from her mistakes," the statement reads.
