Anitta is discovering what left and right mean, and now she's bothering Brasília.

Anitta, the biggest pop singer in the country and a friend of CNN's Gabriela Prioli, wants to raise awareness among the millions of young people who follow her and is hosting live streams discussing national issues.

Judge Flávia Almeida Viveiros de Castro ordered the online seizure of R$ 2.820.211,20 from singer Anitta's accounts; the amount corresponds to the difference between the contractual penalty charged by businesswoman Kamilla Fialho, of K2L Empreendimentos Artísticos, who managed the artist, and what Anitta claims is her credit (Photo: Leonardo Lucena)

247 - report from the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo analyzes that the noise surrounding singer Anitta is deafening. Since becoming one of the biggest celebrities in the country, everything she does becomes news, even her silence. After being criticized for avoiding important political discussions, she saw the pandemic as a chance to broaden her horizons.

"Precisely because I am so desperate and hopeless about the political situation, I decided to talk about politics," she says. "It's about understanding how we can change things."

Just as when she remained silent, Anitta was attacked. On one side, by fans who believe that politics and entertainment shouldn't mix. On the other, by a more intellectual group who called her ignorant when she asked if ministries were part of the Judiciary.

The report states that the controversial question came from one of her live streams, this time with the CNN commentator who gained fame on the show "The Great Debate." They discussed national politics.

The goal, she says, is to bring these discussions to young people, who generally aren't interested in politics. "They always speak in difficult language to confuse us and make us not even want to know," she says. "And the less we know, the less we'll be able to question their decisions."
