The operation launched today alleges that cultural producers, including the company J2A Eventos, are part of a group linked to events and are responsible for the embezzlement of approximately R$ 180 million in funds from the Rouanet Law, a federal government program. Fourteen temporary arrest warrants were served on members of this group, which has been operating in São Paulo since 2001.
One of the episodes that most caught the attention of the Federal Police was the wedding of Felipe Amorim and Caroline Monteiro, organized by Plácido's company, which took place on the luxurious beach in Florianópolis called Jurerê Internacional on April 22nd of this year at the 300 Beach Club nightclub.
