247 The Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF) has filed charges in Federal Court against 16 individuals and two companies for their involvement in the Brumadinho dam collapse (MG), where 272 people died as victims of the tragedy. The request comes two days before the statute of limitations expires for some of the crimes.

The dam break happened on January 25, 2019 and, for some convictions, there is a four-year limit, which expires on Wednesday (25).

The Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF) points to the involvement of 16 individuals in the occurrence of aggravated homicide, crimes against fauna and flora, and pollution. The legal entities were only charged with environmental crimes.
