Departments related to Agriculture and Industry and Commerce, which are at the center of the controversies, were eliminated at the beginning of Marconi's most recent administration. Today, both are part of the Secretariat of Economic Development. The governor says that the streamlining was good because it ended the overlapping of projects and generated savings for the state.
