While the much-anticipated and speculated 'mini-reform' of the state apparatus is still pending, Governor Jaques Wagner (PT) has made yet another change in the second tier of his administration.
The governor of Bahia has appointed the former chief of staff of the Ministry of Cities, Cássio Peixoto, as president of BahiaPesca. This information is contained in a note titled 'Repescagem' (Re-fishing), in the Painel column of Folha de S.Paulo newspaper.
Peixoto joined the Ministry of Cities along with former minister Mário Negromonte (PP), a federal deputy from Bahia, in 2012, during President Dilma Rousseff's ministerial reshuffle.
After it was discovered that he had participated in meetings with lobbyists, Cássio Peixoto was dismissed from his position that same year.
