247 - After the elimination, it's time to return home. The plane carrying the Brazilian delegation left the Russian city of Kazan, where they were staying, this Saturday (7). The return flight has a stopover in Madrid, Spain, and the expected arrival in Rio de Janeiro is early Sunday morning for those returning to Brazil. Several players remain in Europe.
The Brazilian national team players were applauded as they left their hotel in Kazan shortly before 10:00 AM (Brasilia time). The first to leave the team's training camp, heading to Saint Petersburg to meet their families, were Alisson, Ederson, Cássio, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Filipe Luís, Fernandinho, Paulinho, Renato Augusto, Willian, and Firmino, as well as goalkeeping coach Taffarel – all duly applauded. The number of fans supporting them, although smaller than upon the delegation's arrival in Kazan (many have already left the city), was still significant.
Having been eliminated, the Brazilian national team has one commitment scheduled for the second half of the year: a friendly match on September 8th against the United States in New York.
