Security guards declare end to strike in Rio Grande do Sul.
SindiVigilantes do Sul accepted the employers' proposal and ended the category's strike, after a General Assembly of the Category; the strike, which began on March 09, had been suspended last Thursday (12) until the assembly was held; the category accepted the offer of a 7,16% salary readjustment and an increase of R$ 1,70 in the value of the food voucher, which goes from R$ 14 to R$ 15,70; initially, the category asked for a 12% readjustment and R$ 18 for the food voucher.
On the 21 - The Security Guards Union (SindiVigilantes do Sul) accepted the employers' proposal and ended the category's strike, after the Category's General Assembly this Wednesday (18). The strike, which began on March 09, had been suspended last Thursday (12) until the assembly took place.
Two options were put to a vote: one to accept the proposal from the Union of Private Security Companies of the State (Sindesp) and another to maintain the state of strike until the companies presented a new proposal. The option to end the strike won by 149 votes to 131.
With this, the category accepted the offer of a 7,16% salary readjustment and an increase of R$ 1,70 in the value of the food voucher, which goes from R$ 14 to R$ 15,70. Initially, the category was asking for a 12% readjustment and R$ 18 for the food voucher.
Over the past ten days, a strike by security guards from private companies has led to the closure of bank branches and the Borges de Medeiros unit of the Citizen Service Center, Tudo Fácil.
