traveler Traveling is a great experience, and Price of Travel has shown that it's possible to have unforgettable moments without spending a lot of money. The website conducted a survey that listed the 116 cheapest countries to stay in, highlighting some cities that are usually left out of many itineraries, but which, with the rise of the dollar, are starting to become choices for those who want to explore new places more economically.
“Even during times of crisis, it’s possible to travel economically,” emphasizes Gustavo Mariotto, Marketing Manager of ViajaNet, an online travel agency known for finding the most affordable airfares for its customers. “Whether it’s buying airline tickets or spending on accommodation and food, tourists are looking for ways to save money to have good experiences, because travel has ceased to be a luxury and has become a necessity for those who have busy lives and need time to relax and escape the routine,” Mariotto stated.
For the ranking, factors such as the price of a night in a good quality hostel, the price of three daily meals, at least two public transport tickets (round trip), an entrance ticket to some cultural attraction in the destination, and also at least three beers, equivalent to "happy hour," were taken into consideration.
