Veritá is already predicting a victory for Marconi in the first round.

A survey by the Minas Gerais institute Veritá, commissioned by TV Record and Portal A Redação, released on Thursday night (21), shows the Tucano governor, candidate for re-election, with 42% of voting intentions, 15,8 points ahead of former governor Iris Rezende (PMDB), who appears with 26,2%; Vanderlan Cardoso (PSB) obtained 4,7% and Antônio Gomide (PT) has 4,3%; in the sum of valid votes, Marconi would reach 53% if the elections were held today, a sufficient index to win in the first round; in the spontaneous poll, the Tucano also leads with 25,3%, against 15,8% for Iris

The Editorial Staff - The newspaper A Redação published its first poll for the 2014 elections this Thursday (August 21st). The exclusive poll, commissioned by the newspaper A Redação and TV Record, shows Marconi Perillo (PSDB) with 42% of the voting intentions for the state government, leading the survey.
 
Iris Rezende (PMDB) appears in second place, with 26,2%, followed by Vanderlan Cardoso (PSB), in third place with 4,7%. Antônio Gomide (PT) follows in fourth place, with 4,3%.

Professor Weslei (PSOL) is in fifth place, with 0,8% of voting intentions. Alexandre Magalhães (PSDC) and Marta Jane (PCB) are tied for sixth place, with 0,6% of voting intentions each. Blank and null votes total 11,5%, while those who did not know or did not answer total 9,3%.

The survey was registered with the TRE-GO (Regional Electoral Court of Goiás) under number 00074/2014, and interviewed 2203 voters between August 18th and 20th. The survey was conducted by the Veritá Institute and has a margin of error of 2,09%.

Valid votes

In valid votes, when blank and null votes are not counted, Marconi Perillo leads the poll with 53% of the intentions. Iris Rezende is in second place, with 33,1%, followed by Vanderlan Cardoso with 5,9%. Antônio Gomide has 5,4% of the intentions, Professor Weslei has 1,1%, and Alexandre Magalhães and Marta Jane are tied with 0,8% each.

In the spontaneous survey, when the candidates' names are not presented to the respondents, the candidate from the PSDB party also appears in the lead. In this survey, Marconi appears with 25,3% of the votes, while Iris totals 15,8% of the preference.

Former mayor of Senador Canedo, Vanderlan Cardoso, is in third place (3,2%), followed by former mayor of Anápolis, Antônio Gomide (2,1%). Alexandre Magalhães appears with 0,4%.

Blank and null votes totaled 7,4%, while 1029 respondents (45,7%) did not know or did not answer.
