Vanderlan picks a fight over Alcides, who reappears.

The Sustainability Network in Goiás, led by Elias Vaz and Martiniano Cavalcante, demanded that Vanderlan Cardoso distance himself from Alcides Rodrigues in order to support the businessman's candidacy for governor of the state; Vanderlan disapproved of the Network's blackmail and reinforced his loyalty to the former governor, who is resurfacing in the political scene and may be a candidate for the Senate.

Goiás247 - Former governor Alcides Rodrigues may return to the political scene on the ticket of Vanderlan Cardoso, the PSB candidate for governor of the state. Alcides is also in Eduardo Campos' party and has begun accompanying Vanderlan to meetings the businessman holds to garner support for his campaign.

Since leaving office at the end of 2010, Alcides has chosen refuge in the municipality of Santa Helena and has avoided giving many interviews. Alongside Vanderlan and former Finance Secretary Jorcelino Braga (PRP), the former governor is beginning to appear more frequently and may be Vanderlan's running mate or the candidate for the Senate on the businessman's ticket.

Vanderlan's loyalty to Alcides is immense, leading the businessman to even pick fights with allies. The leaders of the Rede Sustentabilidade party in Goiás, Elias Vaz and Martiniano Cavalcante, stated that if Vanderlan remains aligned with Alcides and reconciles with Ronaldo Caiado, Rede will not support the PSB's gubernatorial candidacy.

Vanderlan strongly disliked the demand and called it "petty squabbling." He added that he does not accept blackmail. Convinced of his candidacy, and even more so because he is aligned with Alcides, who is a political rival of Marconi Perillo (PSDB), Vanderlan rules out any alliance with the government base. He has already stated that he is a candidate no matter what, even with limited airtime for political advertising on TV.
