Giuseppe Vecci was the Planning Secretary in the current government and has been a close ally of Marconi since his first term. One of the favorites to win a seat in the Federal Chamber, Vecci praised Marconi's administrative capabilities.
“Throughout this time I was able to follow the administration of a visionary man. Marconi gets things done. He reinvents himself every year, and innovates in political and administrative practices. I was able to help him in the construction of his main government programs.
