Valmir denies losing his mandate. An appeal is possible.

State Representative Valmir Monteiro (PSC) sent a note to the press this Tuesday (28) to "reassure" his voters about rumors that he may lose his current mandate or that his political rights may be suspended for five years; "The information that the process against the parliamentarian has become final is incorrect. The Representative's Legal Advisory explains, once again, that there was a clerical error in certifying the "final judgment", that is, that no further appeals would be possible against the decision. The Advisory also explains that it has already filed an appeal with the Court of Justice and the presiding judge has already ordered the appeals to be sent to the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), in Brasília (DF), and the Supreme Federal Court (STF)", it informs.

247 - State Representative Valmir Monteiro (PSC) sent a statement to the press to "reassure" his voters about rumors that he may lose his current mandate or have his political rights suspended for five years.

"The information that the case against the parliamentarian has reached a final judgment is incorrect. The deputy's Legal Counsel explains, once again, that there was a clerical error in certifying the "final judgment," meaning that no further appeals were possible. The Counsel further explains that an appeal has already been filed with the Court of Justice, and the presiding judge has already ordered the appeals to be sent to the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) in Brasília (DF) and the Supreme Federal Court (STF). Without further ado, the Legal Counsel has already taken steps to rectify the misunderstanding, and the deputy continues to exercise his mandate normally in the Legislative Assembly until his appeals are considered by the STJ and the STF," it informs.
