Sergipe 247 - The website "Política Real" reports, in an article published this Thursday (13), that Senator Valadares (PSB) accepted to run for governor of the State, after an appeal from presidential candidate Eduardo Campos, governor of Pernambuco and national president of the PSB. The journalist from Sergipe, Diógenes Brayner, had already anticipated part of this information in yesterday's edition of his column (read here).

Below is the article from Real Politics:

(Brasília-DF, 02/13/2014) Senator Antonio Carlos Valadares (PSB-SE) accepted the challenge of running for Governor of Sergipe to provide a platform for the presidential candidacy of Governor Eduardo Campos of Pernambuco, national president of the PSB; however, the pre-launch will only take place after the formation of an alliance. The chosen date is the month of April.

"Senator Valadares accepted his own candidacy (for Governor of the State) and now we will seek alliances," said Deputy Valadares Filho (PSB-SE), a short while ago, to Política Real.

Valadares Filho informed us that after the alliance of parties is formed, which is expected by April, there will be a pre-launch of the candidacy. We then asked which parties could participate in this alliance around the PSB.

"We will seek support from the PPS, PCdoB, DEM, PSDB, PDT, and PV," said the federal deputy from the PSB. These parties today, with the exception of the PPS, either support the project of Senator Aécio Neves (PSDB) or President Dilma Rousseff (PT). Only the PPS has announced a national agreement with the PSB, Campos's party.

The meeting that sealed the agreement took place at a breakfast at the Meliá Hotel, here in the Federal Capital, this Tuesday, and was attended by the party president, Eduardo Campos, Senator Antônio Carlos Valadares, Congressman Valadares Filho, the leader of the PSB in the Chamber, Beto Albuquerque (RS), and the former mayor of Aracaju, Edvaldo Nogueira (PC do B).
