Valadares says PSB will be with Déda and Jackson in 2014.

“The alliance between us is not based on self-serving or financial interests, but rather on improving the living conditions of the people of Sergipe. Whatever the situation, we will do everything to ensure that the PSB stands alongside Marcelo Déda and Jackson Barreto next year. This relationship has existed since 1994. I have never run for office so that Jackson wouldn't vote for me. We will maintain unity,” stated the senator.

Valter Lima, from Sergipe 247 – The PSB demonstrated, this Friday (12), during a state meeting, enthusiasm for the pre-candidacy of Vice-Governor Jackson Barreto (PMDB) for Governor in 2014. Upon arriving at the event, the PMDB member was very applauded. And Senator Valadares' speech confirmed the good relationship. Furthermore, in the interview he gave to Sergipe 247, he also hinted that, regardless of a candidacy of the Governor of Pernambuco, Eduardo Campos, for the presidency of the Republic, he will work to keep the governing bloc united in the State.

We will maintain unity,” stated the socialist senator. Jackson reciprocated: “Whatever the outcome, I am not one to run away, I am one to confront, to fight, to battle. I am an ally from beginning to end,” he said.

Speaking to Sergipe 247, Valadares said that political reform is unlikely, which will keep the electoral system unchanged in 2014, not requiring verticalization (when a party is obliged to follow the guidelines of nationally established alliances), which will allow “voting for a presidential candidate in one way, while in the states, building an alliance between allied parties.” “We don't yet have confirmation of Eduardo Campos' candidacy. It's still a hypothesis. But if it happens, we will fight to maintain the allied group in Sergipe. An alliance doesn't fall apart overnight. We've been together since 1994 and the foundations of that alliance remain standing. There's no reason for disharmony. Our goal is to maintain this unity,” he reinforced.
