      247 – Currently third in the polls, campaign coordinators for Aécio Neves' presidential campaign are betting on a strategy to boost his popularity just weeks before the first round of elections.

      According to the columnist Monica BergamoFormer Supreme Court (STF) president Joaquim Barbosa has been approached more than once by members of the PSDB party trying to convince him to make some gesture of support for the candidate.

      "He could declare his vote or accept an invitation to be a minister [in a possible Aécio Neves government]," says the governor of Minas Gerais, Alberto Pinto Coelho.

      JB, however, shows no interest in entering politics this year. He has remained silent about the succession and, to those who insist, says he doesn't even know if he will be in Brazil on election day.
