Tucanos announce support for Miranda; PSDB says it will not accept "traitors"
Former PSDB state president Ernani Siqueira and the party's general secretary, Agimiro Costa, announced their support for Marcelo Miranda's candidacy on Monday, the 25th, representing the coalition "The experience we see." The argument used by the two PSDB members to withdraw from Sandoval's campaign is that the governing group is disregarding the historical Siqueira supporters. Acting PSDB president Maria Teresa Rocha called the announcement a betrayal and recommended, without mentioning the names of Ernani Siqueira and Agimiro Costa, that they leave the party, under penalty of "immediate" expulsion.
Tocantins 247 - The coalition "The change we see," supporting Governor and reelection candidate Sandoval Cardoso, lost two leading PSDB politicians on Monday, the 25th, to the coalition "Experience makes the change," supporting gubernatorial candidate Marcelo Miranda. Former PSDB state president Ernani Siqueira and the party's general secretary, Agimiro Costa, announced their support for the PMDB candidate.
The arguments used by the two PSDB (Brazilian Social Democracy Party) members to withdraw from Sandoval's campaign are that the governing group is disregarding the historical Siqueira Campos supporters. Ernani and Agimiro assured the press that they obtained the consensus of former governor Siqueira Campos to change sides.
Siqueira was quick to respond to the CT blog that he had been informed and had agreed with Ernani's decision. "If he is going to support a candidate from a coalition other than the one his party chose with his colleagues, he should, as a dignified, honorable, and ethical person, leave the party he belongs to," the former governor recommended.read hereAs for Agimiro Costa, the government of Sandoval Cardoso did not represent the "desire" of the Siquero group.
In a press release, the acting president of the PSDB party, Maria Teresa Rocha, classified the announcement as a betrayal and recommended, without mentioning the names of Ernani Siqueira and Agimiro Costa, that they leave the party. "The PSDB State Directorate has decided to join the coalition 'The Change We See'. The men and women of the PSDB in Tocantins are dignified, loyal, and honorable people; we do not accept traitors in our midst. We recommend that any PSDB Tocantins state leader who wishes to work for any candidate from another coalition resign from the PSDB, so as not to be immediately expelled."

Our colleagues must be very careful with false information that, in reality, only serves the personal interests of those who spread it.
It's worth remembering an old saying: "In times of war, lies are like dirt. An election campaign is a real war," because there are people with all sorts of interests, just as there are people, albeit few, who are VERY DISHONEST.
Be careful! Let's strengthen our candidates.
We are counting on you, Toucans of Tocantins.
Maria Teresa Rocha
Acting President of PSDB-TO
