Ceará 247 - The Water and Sewage Company of Ceará (Cagece) begins this Monday (3), the replacement of another section of the trunk collector in the sewage network located on Avenida Eduardo Girão. The intervention takes place between Rua Deputado Oswaldo Studart and Rua Luciano Magalhães. For the service to be carried out, the section will need to be closed for 75 days. In total, 135 meters of piping will be replaced.

The closure will take place from 10 am this Monday (3) and vehicle traffic in the area will be diverted. From 7 am, Cagece will carry out an orientation action for drivers circulating on the avenue, through the Social Responsibility and Interaction Management (Geris). During the action, explanatory material about the intervention and the cups of the “Drinking Water” project will be distributed.

The suggested detour for those traveling on Avenida Eduardo Girão, heading towards Avenida Aguanambi, will be the same one used by the Light Rail Vehicle (VLT) construction in the area: turn right onto Rua Deputado Oswaldo Studart, left onto Rua Francisco Lorda, right onto Rua Edmundo Raimundo Filho, make a U-turn on Rua Via Láctea, right onto Avenida Borges de Melo and left onto Avenida Aguanambi (see map).

The traffic diversion project was approved by the Municipal Traffic and Citizenship Authority (AMC). Approximately R$ 420 will be invested in the project, using Cagece's own funds. The intervention is necessary to improve the sewage network in the area.
