The Regional Electoral Court (TRE) issues three favorable opinions for Rui Costa.

The Regional Electoral Court granted Rui Costa the right to reply during the campaign advertising time of the DEM candidate, Paulo Souto, and also granted the PT candidate the right to use the former governor's image in his campaign, stating that he did not build two hospitals that he claims to have built during his administration; Judge Fábio Alexsandro understood that the use of the Democrat's image in Rui's program did not constitute a violation, 'being merely political criticism and information to clarify the electorate, and therefore, beneficial to the political contest'.

Bahia 247 - The right of reply granted by the Regional Electoral Court of Bahia (TRE) that guaranteed the PT candidate for state governor, Rui Costa, space in the electoral program of his opponent Paulo Souto on radio and TV was aired on Wednesday night (17). The TRE decision was one of three in favor of the PT candidate against attacks from the former governor.

The Regional Electoral Court (TRE) considered that Rui was 'unfairly attacked' when the DEM party placed him among the most absent members of Congress. The court also understood that the PT government was not responsible for the closure of the Spanish Hospital, as claimed by the opposition's propaganda.

The court also understood that the video, with the former governor's statement contrasted with that of residents claiming they did not recognize that the hospitals in Alagoinhas and Ribeiro da Pombal were built by him, was not a violation, according to the Electoral Court.

The coalition 'More Changes, New Achievements', which brings together the candidates for federal deputy who support Rui Costa, obtained the right to a one-minute reply in the campaign advertisement of the 'United for a Better Bahia' ticket, from the DEM party, which attributed the responsibility for the bankruptcy and closure of the Spanish Hospital to the PT government.

The Regional Electoral Court (TRE) understood, by majority vote, with the tie-breaking vote of the court's president, Judge Lourival Almeida Trindade, that there had been a violation of article 58 of Law 9.504/1997, the Elections Law. The interpretation was that the statement did not constitute political criticism, but rather attributed to the State government a fact that was 'knowingly false', since the Spanish Hospital (Real Social Española) is a private entity, even though it receives public funds.

Another victory for Rui Costa's coalition guarantees the right to show images of Paulo Souto in television election propaganda that claims the construction of a hospital in Ribeira do Pombal was not the work of the Democrat.

In a representation before the Regional Electoral Court (TRE), the Democrats' coalition, arguing for the preservation of the right to image, challenged the advertisement, requesting the removal of images of the former governor, who allegedly was ridiculed.

According to information from the TRE, the video was shown for further analysis during the judgment session on Wednesday (18). When considering the appeal filed by the PT group, the TRE concluded, from the point of view brought by Judge Fábio Alexsandro Costa Bastos, that the use of Paulo Souto's image in the opponent's electoral program did not constitute a violation, 'being merely political criticism and information to clarify the electorate, and therefore, beneficial to the political contest'.
