Felipe Fraga from Tocantins is the Stock Car champion.
Brazilian driver Felipe Fraga, from the Cimed Racing team, is the champion of this Stock Car season, beating his rival and only other driver in contention for the title, Rubens Barrichello. The race took place this Sunday at Interlagos (SP), and had double points. Fraga, who led the championship before the final stage, had a good advantage over Rubinho, from the Full Time team. He could even finish 12th and still secure the title even with a victory by the former F1 driver.

Leading the championship before the final race, Fraga had a comfortable advantage over Rubinho, from the Full Time team. He could even finish 12th and still secure the title even if the former F1 driver won.
Fraga secured the title by finishing in 10th place. Rubinho came in second, but would only be champion if his rival finished in 18th.
Rubinho attempted a risky maneuver after the yellow flag, trying to get among the leaders, but ended up spinning out and leaving Felipe Fraga in a comfortable position in the race.
This is Felipe Fraga's first career title in Stock Car. Rubinho was attempting to win his second championship, having previously won in 2014.
