Court approves list of judges for appellate judge position.

The Council of Magistrates of the Court of Justice judged an administrative process that established, based on seniority, the list of candidates to replace Judge Daniel Negry, who retired in August 2014 due to age; unanimously, Judges João Rigo Guimarães, Adolfo Amaro Mendes, Gil de Araújo Corrêa, and Luís Otávio de Queiroz Fraz were chosen; the selection will take place at the plenary session of the TJTO starting at 14 PM this Thursday.

Tocantins 247 - In an ordinary session this Thursday morning, the 16th, the Council of Magistrates of the Court of Justice judged an administrative process for access to the position of judge of the TJTO (Court of Justice of Tocantins). The selection will be based on seniority. 

Led by the president of the TJTO (Court of Justice of Tocantins), Judge Ronaldo Eurípedes, the council unanimously approved the names of judges João Rigo Guimarães, Adolfo Amaro Mendes, Gil de Araújo Corrêa, and Luís Otávio de Queiroz Fraz.

The judges Ronaldo Eurípedes (President), Luiz Gadotti (Vice-President), Eurípedes Lamounier (General Inspector of Justice), Maysa Vendramini Rosal (Vice-Inspector of Justice), and Moura Filho, member, voted. The selection will take place at the plenary session of the TJTO (Court of Justice of Tocantins) starting at 14 PM this Thursday.

According to the internal regulations of the TJTO (Court of Justice of Tocantins), in article 38, in the selection of a judge based on seniority, the most senior judge will initially be submitted to a vote. Only in the event of a rejection by two-thirds of the members of the Court will the voting on the other names on the seniority list proceed successively until the appointment is finalized.

The newly elected judge will fill the vacancy left by Judge Daniel Negry, who retired in August 2014 due to age. (From Cecom TJTO)
