After a period of high temperatures, the arrival of a cold front has caused temperatures to drop in several municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul; in the capital, Porto Alegre, a low of 20°C is forecast for this afternoon; in recent days, Porto Alegre reached temperatures of 40°C.
Yara Aquino, Agência Brasil - After a period of high temperatures, the arrival of a cold front caused thermometers to drop today (14) in several municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul. In the capital, Porto Alegre, a minimum of 20 °C is expected this afternoon. In recent days, Porto Alegre reached temperatures of 40 °C.
According to data from the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), São José dos Ausentes recorded, in the early afternoon, 14°C, with cloudy and partly cloudy weather. For tomorrow (15), Inmet forecasts a minimum of 12°C and a maximum of 14°C.
Vacaria is expected to register a low of 14°C this afternoon; Encruzilhada, 17°C; Passo Fundo, 18°C; and Bagé, also 18°C. According to Inmet, the low temperature should drop in these municipalities tomorrow.
On Friday afternoon, the north and northeast of the state will experience cloudy to partly cloudy skies, with showers and thunderstorms. The weather will be partly cloudy in other regions.
