The fees at Guarulhos and Viracopos airports, in São Paulo, have been readjusted by 6,52%, as stipulated in the concession contract for the two projects. The new values, published today (10) in the Official Gazette of the Union, will come into effect in 30 days – the period foreseen for the concessionaires to inform users of the change in fees.

According to the National Civil Aviation Agency, the adjustment is based on the variation recorded in the Broad Consumer Price Index during the last 12 months (6,52%). Therefore, the ceiling for domestic boarding fees at these airports increases from R$ 22,55 to R$ 24,02, a value that considers the 35,9% increase in the Airport Fee Surcharge, destined for the National Civil Aviation Fund.

Airport fees are amounts paid to concessionaires by passengers or aircraft operators for boarding, connecting flights, landing, parking, and storage procedures within airports. Passengers are only responsible for paying the boarding fee.
