Star Wars Kinect may disappoint fans of the saga.
Controlling lightsabers with your bare hands is tempting; but, judging from the demos of the new game in the series, the Xbox 360 system is insufficient to handle a game of such complexity.
Lucas Reginato _247 Weeks after Star Wars renewed its contract with Lego to continue one of the most successful partnerships in gaming history, LucasArts is launching another product. In April, players will be able to embody the Jedi using Kinect, the motion sensor for Xbox 360.
Although the idea is tempting and may excite fans of the George Lucas saga, what was seen in the demonstration at last year's E3 disappointed even the most enthusiastic. The Kinect proved insufficient to handle the complex movement required for a game of this type.
Of course, being able to control lightsabers "with your own hands" is in itself a great attraction for those who have dreamed for years of fighting against the dark side of the Force. But this first game seems more like a test, not so functional, for what may later become a bigger success.
