Souto: "Let's put an end to the violence"

"With so much natural beauty and richness, the Lower South is a region blessed by God. Its people, who have always been cheerful and hospitable, do not deserve to live in the hell of rampant violence that has invaded the cities and rural areas in the last seven and a half years. We will put an end to this." This statement comes from the DEM candidate for governor of the state, Paulo Souto, from the 'United for Bahia' coalition; he had a full day of events in cities in the Lower South.

Bahia 247 - "With so much natural beauty and richness, the Lower South is a region blessed by God. Its people, who have always been cheerful and hospitable, do not deserve to live in the hell of rampant violence that has invaded the cities and the rural area in the last seven and a half years. We will put an end to this." This statement was made by the DEM candidate for governor of the State, Paulo Souto, from the 'United for Bahia' coalition. He had a full day's agenda in cities in the lower south, accompanied by his running mates, Joaci Góes (PSDB - vice), and Geddel Vieira Lima (PMDB - senator), this Friday (25).

The motorcade departed from Camamu in the late morning and proceeded through Ituberá, Nilo Peçanha, Taperoá, and Valença. In each of these cities, the opposition delegation, which also included candidates for federal deputy José Carlos Aleluia, Cláudio Cajado, and Hildécio Meireles; and for state deputy Heraldo Rocha and Sandro Régis, engaged in door-to-door campaigning and held rallies.

Paulo Souto guaranteed that public safety "will be a priority" in his administration if he wins the elections. "If elected, I will restore trust between the government and the police. I will increase and better distribute the police force. In addition to investing in technology and intelligence to efficiently combat crime throughout the state. Peace will return to Bahia."

Geddel reiterated "the ticket's determination to bring tranquility back to the people of Bahia." He criticized "the chaos in public health and the mistreatment suffered by the population when they depend on hospital admission and have to submit to the Russian roulette of regulation, where luck decides who lives and who dies."

Souto announced that the regional healthcare centers he intends to implement, if elected, will end the ordeal of patients waiting months for appointments and tests. "We will work to ensure that people receive dignified care."
