Lucas Reginato _247 - When Sony registered the name "PlayStation All-Star Battle Royale" three days ago, everyone imagined that the company was preparing something similar to Super Smash Bros., which brings together various Nintendo characters like Pikachu and Mario. The bet, although not very improbable, was spot on, and Sony's producers aren't bothered by it: "we are fans of this type of game," said Omar Kendall, production director.

The first trailer, which accompanied the official announcement, made no attempt to deviate from the model already established by its competitor. The two-dimensional setting, the multiple players jumping around, each with an incredibly distinct character, in different parts of the screen, and the many powers and flashing lights are reminiscent of the now classic Nintendo game.

The most exciting thing, however, is the new range of characters that appear with the release. Kratos from God of War, Sly Cooper, the clown Sweet Tooth from "Twisted Metal," and even the comical Parappa are confirmed.

Ultimately, the real battle will likely not be between the Sony and Nintendo characters, but between the two companies themselves, vying for the player's preference in this category.
